Process Documentation

I wasn't able to find ANY soup shader online! I start with learning from the water shader, adding in features like the double layer of procedural noise texture, edge foam and depth fade. Yet it's still very different from soup. I approached the "soup" feeling with textures, density of the liquid, and heat, that drives motions such as boiling and bubbling.

For textures I observed the oil dots as a nice feature to have, and learned from a procedural dirty water foam texture. The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ls6sHs_7Jk

I learn the layering technique from the tutorial, and alternate it to achieve the shiny, clean oil dot look I need.

For ingredients I designed a multi-UV structure to gain close control on each ingredient piece.
